The drama with Tiger Woods and his indiscretions continues to unfold so of course, I had to take a look at the astrology. As I compared his chart to that of his wife Elin's I almost doubled over. Major ouch! And unfortunately, it's only beginning...

Tiger is a Capricorn, born December 30th and this year, on December 31st there will be a Lunar Eclipse that falls at ten degrees Cancer, which is opposite his Sun sign. All by itself this Eclipse signals a major ending for him in terms of his status and reputation, but it also signals the end of his family life as he knows it. That's because his Sun is in the fourth house of home and family in his horoscope.

In addition to this, transiting Uranus, the planet of sudden upheaval, turned direct in the sky on December 2nd after having been retrograde for several months. When a planet turns stationary direct or retrograde its energy is super charged. Well, Uranus happened to turn direct very close to the degree of his Descendant, which is the marriage sector in the horoscope. This indicates a sudden upheaval to his marriage. Oh boy, is that an understatement.

Uranus happens to be hitting all of the major angles in Tiger's chart. This means that his personal identity, home and family life are all in obvious chaos and will continue to be as we go into 2010. Despite all the rumors and Tiger's notorious silence, I don't think his marriage will survive this tornado. With this kind of astrology involved, the energy is just too difficult.

For Tiger, this is devastating. A Capricorn is extremely concerned with his reputation and status in the world. To have it tarnished in any way is a blow no Capricorn can easily recover from. Unfortunately, he might be licking his self inflicted wounds for a long time to come and I do feel that he will be divorced sometime in late June, despite his best efforts to save this marriage.

A little known fact about Tiger (until recently) is that his passionate nature is strong. A man with Venus in Scorpio is attracted to deep, intense relationships and secretive alliances. Scandalous love affairs are almost irresistible to him. Although Capricorn is a practical, grounded earth sign, it's also a lusty one. And this Capricorn is no exception.

Elin's chart is corroborating Tiger's and this is a sure sign that the marriage is over. She's also a Capricorn, born on January 1st so the Eclipse will hit her in the exact same way. A birth time is not available for Elin but I do believe she has the moon in Cancer which amplifies the Eclipse energy and the ending of her home and family life as she knows it.

We might hear Tiger finally speak out around the time of the Solar Eclipse on January15th since it will make an exact conjunction to his natal Mercury (communication) in his fifth house (love affairs). We might also hear more details from his former lovers. This could also be when that rumored post nup is finalized.

In the meantime, I feel terrible for both of these unhappy Cappy's, albeit in very different ways. These upcoming Eclipses will be an absolute tragedy for them; we're only on the tip of the iceberg with this story. Tiger and Elin are not "out of the woods" by any means.
