Every so often the universe seems to give us a break from cosmic strife and surprises. October – especially the second half of it – will surely feel like such a month for most of you. In fact, there isn’t a hard aspect in sight. When I look at the planetary patterns I can’t help but smile. It feels good considering September might have been a little rough around the edges for some of you.

That’s what I love the most about studying the cycles of our universe. Nothing ever stays the same. This change, although it can be nerve wracking when you’re going through personal distress, should also be a source of comfort. When things aren’t going your way, at least you know it won’t last forever. There is always tomorrow.

If September was as challenging a month for you as it was me, you’ll be glad to turn the page of your calendar. Life on this Earth school is full of lessons – some of them easier to learn than others. But one thing is certain; we learn.

Energy will be high on the 1st as we kick off the month with a powerful aspect between energetic Mars and willful Pluto. This would be a great day to talk join forces with a current business partner – together you can move mountains!

Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, is still moving retrograde in the sky and will be out of whack until October 15th. I would advise everyone to refrain from signing new contracts, negotiating deals or interviewing for a new job if possible.

Don’t hire an agent, attorney or even think about launching a new business partnership. It would be unwise and only cause you headaches because the level of communication isn’t quite right at the moment. You’ll miss details or say something you later regret. It’s much better to wait until our messenger planet is working for us, rather than against us.

If you keep your wits about you as Mercury is retrograde you’ll find that this can be a valuable time for reflection and unearthing all the bits of information you might have thought you’d never find concerning a business or personal relationship. On the 5th everyone will enjoy a gorgeous cosmic gift. Venus and Jupiter, the two benefics in the zodiac, will snuggle closely and exchange their positive vibes. You will be blessed with something on this day so be on the lookout for it!

On the 7th Venus, the planet of love, will embrace Saturn, the planet of longevity and commitment. Promises made now will be kept. If you’ve been thinking about adding some glue to your relationship or talking to your sweetheart now about taking things to the next level, this would be a fantastic day to do so.

On the 10th things get even better for romantic prospects. Venus will hook up in a sexy escapade with erratic Uranus.



Love gets unpredictable and exciting, but in a good way. If you’ve been feeling as though things are a bit stale between you and your lover, this is the night to suggest a little bit of playful experimenting in the bedroom. You’ll be surprised at how your partner is just as ready to think outside the box as you are in this department!

The 14th brings a gorgeous trine between the Sun and Neptune, indicating a promising time to push ahead with your most visionary plans, and a day filled with enthusiastic idealism.

The Full Moon in Aries will also occur on this day. This lunation is the time to see the results for whatever it is you put into action two weeks ago at the New Moon in relationship Libra. It’s possible that you and your partner had something going on back and forth and now things are resolved. It’s interesting that this Full Moon occurs on the day that Mercury is stationary retrograde.

When a planet is stationary retrograde, it means that it’s not moving from our perspective here on earth. You’ll have to see how this plays out in your Full Moon happenings but I feel it could be an emotional stalemate for some. It might feel as though you finally resolve yourself to knowing that you can’t get everything your way.

At the same time, you might be so bent on asserting your independence on this day that cooperation isn’t likely. I recommend keeping things light if possible and waiting another few days after this lunation if you must work something critical out with a partner. Once Mercury turns on the 15th everything you’ve wanted to understand and communicate will steamroll.

Whether or not you’re in a relationship, this lunation suggests you will be focused on the end result of something that will be instrumental in the assertion of your identity. You might feel as though you’ve finally been awakened to a new emotional consciousness and will be ready to take charge in whatever area this Full Moon falls in your chart. On the 18th Venus, enters playful and spiritual Sagittarius. This is a time to enjoy pursuits that have to do with travel, other cultures, higher learning, broadcasting or publishing. If you’re single, you might find a new romantic partner through involvement in any of these activities.

The 27th is another high energy day when Mars joins forces with Jupiter. This is a great time to act with enthusiasm for whatever you do on this day is sure to be met with fantastic results. The key is to act. It’s not a day to sit by and hope – you’ve got to do something to see the rewards.

A New Moon in Scorpio on the 28th will be a fantastic opportunity to dig into something hidden. Whatever seems mysterious in your life now can be uncovered if you use this energy to plant the seeds of detective work. It’s also a great time to renew your spirits psychologically and heal yourself from any deep, traumatic pain. You’ll even have a mindset full of high hopes to assist you on this journey since Mercury will trine Neptune on the 30th. Negativity won’t be a word in your vocabulary!

Maybe Halloween festivities will have you spooked, but the astrology of October should have you feeling pretty enthusiastic. Life is good.
